On Semiconductor (formerly AMI Semiconductor, Inc.)

Established in 1978 as a local subsidiary of Motorola in the Philippines and as a result of the 1999 spin-off of the Semiconductor Components (SCG) Division of Motorola, to become an independent company, SCG Philippines, Inc. (ON Semiconductor Philippines or OSPI) became a subsidiary of the ON Semiconductor Corporation. It should be noted that in 1988, Philippine Society for Quality Control named Motorola Outstanding Quality Company of the Year. ON Semiconductor today is the world's number one supplier of analog logic and discrete components and offers an extensive portfolio of power, data and standard semiconductor components that address the design needs of today's sophisticated electronic products, automotive and appliances.

In 1988, ON Semiconductor shipped a total of 15 billion analog/logic and discrete products. Today, ON Semiconductor has a total of 8,400 employees worldwide including 9 manufacturing facilities, 5 technology and design centers across the globe and over 100 manufacturing subcontractors worldwide.
